9b NC longest pier, fishing..

We made good time, and Nick was the navigator with a great sense of direction, on the trip home. We fell into bed after our island adventures.
The next day, Aug 22, Nick wanted to spend the day fishing, so we borrowed Uncle Buddy's rods and reels, and headed to the longest pier in NC, right there on Oak Island.
This is one of my favorite photos from the trip, Nick fishing from the pier. We had some luck, but mostly just nibbles and fish eating our shrimp bait! But, it was a good fishing day...
