"Baker & Taylor (B&T) hosted noted UCLA basketball coach and author John Wooden at its booth (#906) during the American Library Association Midwinter Meeting, Saturday, January 10, from 1-2:45 p.m. Wooden led UCLA, where he coached such hoop greats as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Walton, to a record ten national championships-seven of which were consecutive-as well as four perfect seasons, an 88-game winning streak, and 38 straight victories in tournament play.
